Dr. Richman is a urologist certified by the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urologic Association and the Sexual Medicine Society of North America. He was Phi Beta Kappa at Wesleyan University; he earned his medical degree, summa cum laude, at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha.
He won an unprecedented four Pfizer Awards at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he completed his general-surgery internship and residency in urologic surgery under the renowned Dr. Culley C. Carson, an expert in men's sexual health.
Dr. Richman was formerly an attending physician at Norfolk General Hospital and a clinical associate professor of urology at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He also serves on the editorial board of the Urology & Nephrology Open Access Journal and founded MenSexMD.com.
Dr. Richman has performed over 3,000 vasectomies and has more than 10 years' experience diagnosing and treating men's health. He and his wife have one daughter and two dogs; he enjoys classical guitar and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
