Costs & Insurance

Obsidian Men's Health does not participate with any insurance plans, nor do we take Medicare or Medicaid assignment. If you wish to file an insurance claim on your own behalf, we will provide physician notes and payment receipts to submit with your claim. However, reimbursement is not guaranteed.

Why We Don't Accept Insurance

Freedom from the insurance model lets us spend an hour or more with patients during initial consultations. We focus on education, detailed medical history reviews, comprehensive exams, and treatment options matched to your needs and lifestyle. Every patient leaves with their physician's email address and the ability to follow up anytime.

Lab Testing

Lab testing is usually required as part of your initial assessment and follow-up care. Lab costs may or may not be covered by your insurance plan. Obsidian has no financial relationships with lab companies — they independently work with your insurance.

Medications

Insurance coverage for prescribed medications at retail pharmacies may vary. Medications obtained through our compounding pharmacy partners will not be covered by insurance.

Payment

We ask for payment at the time of service. We accept most credit cards and are happy to accept cash.

As health-care deductibles have skyrocketed, Obsidian's fees remain competitive — especially considering the time, access, attention and expertise that we provide.
